“Your soul is not your higher self, it is the rest of self.”

Goosebumps Simone! That opens something deeper than bones. Death- another portal for healing — the bridge to eternity; to knowing. Wow. “To hold space is presence.” So true. Portals. In-between spaces. Souls continue to learn. “Everybody has access to their teams. Everything is a choice.” So much resonates - here- in your words. Of your words. Energy. Truth. I will let its resonance write through me. Simone you are a soul doula. Thank you! Enjoy summer! 💫❤️🙏

Hi Jamie, I am so pleased this resonates with you, there is so much overlap in the spaces that inspire the writing ... soul doula, that gave me a chuckle. Summer is a bit wayward this year but I am not complaining, the waves are always rejuvenating. Hope Winter is sparkling. Thank you. 💖🌀🙏

Hi Rasha, thank you 🙏, l appreciate your comment as l do struggle with words to describe what my body feels as knowing, but it’s just got to come out anyway 😂 Much love to you too 🙏🌀💜

"I don’t aspire to tame emotional tides — I feel into them, listen to the body for those rooted in fear."

There is such wisdom in this, Simone. I was just reading about a new branch of study in history--the history of experiences and emotions. To understand, to feel into, all that has transpired before now, it is not enough to capture dates and battles and the feats of "great men"--that is to say, by rational analysis. We have to understand how everyday people processed what they were living. For example, our modern understanding of love would not necessarily have been how love was experienced in Viking times or by an American Plains Indian before colonization.

I am probably not describing this in a way that makes sense, but I see a parallel to what you are gleaning about the present, or presence, but from a spiritual perspective.

Another way of understanding ourselves in the greater tapestry of the ALLL THAT IS.

Hi Robin, thank you for reading and your comment. "We have to understand how everyday people processed what they were living." I totally agree, and yes what you are saying does make sense. And yes, "Another way of understanding ourselves in the greater tapestry of the ALLL THAT IS." Thank you for the link to the article, I will definitely give it a read. I had a formal past life regression the other day (which will feature in a post), and I have had my first practise at facilitating one — they in part do give the perspective of emotions at the time of the life because you are either in it or observing it, fascinating. So past life regression is one way to access "the everyday and what they were living". Hope you're having a great day. Sending love. 🙏🌀💖

So true, Simone. I think I may have mentioned this at some point: I had very powerful sense of this kind of emotional processing of history in a family constellation. It validated my understanding of my grandmother's experience--and gave me permission to write about it.

My constellation experience is part of that memoir-in-progress.

Simone Senisin's avatar

Yes, that is so beautiful Robin, what a gift. These validations are knowings, and storylines are crucial ... whatever modalities work to heal and empower. 🙏 💖

Dearest Simone,

I love your opening quote that starts with surrender. In my devotionals the other day, Ram Dass echoed something similar, "As the journey progresses, less and less do you need to know. When the faith is strong enough, it is sufficient just to be." I have also been re-reading Anam Cara and just recently came upon the chapter about Death. One of the passages talks about becoming a friend with Death, so when your own comes, you are welcomed home by a friend.

Surrender has been the root of my life lately - the quiet, steady practice of letting myself be shaped by what I don't yet understand, trusting the mythic timing of my own unfolding. And, YES!, the synchronicities that come are always verification of my alignment, as you wrote.

Your writing always feels like another companion on that path. The way you write about presence, portals, and the in-between spaces reminds me that surrender isn't passive; it's a deep attunement to the Soul's own rhythm. I feel such kinship with the way you listen, the way you let the unseen guide your steps.

Thank you for continuing to write from that place. It's a gift to walk alongside you in these subtle terrains and to be a Soul sister of yours. Wishing you love and warmth, XO

Hi Danielle, you express it beautifully when you say, “the quiet, steady practice by letting myself be shaped by what l don’t yet understand, trusting the myth is timing of my own unfolding.” Yes, we are soul sisters walking the path, that “surrender isn’t passive, it’s a deep attunement to the soul’s own rhythm.” Just beautiful, and no wonder coming from you. I love you sis and you too are a gift. Wishing you much love too. Thank you 🙏🌀💙

"Everything is grounded in love." ~ Simone Senisin ✨💖✨

Thank you so much Simone, for sharing this unfolding ... it's always a privilege to witness your journey. I love the way you honour John’s presence, notice the signs, the pokes and the quiet work of holding space ... it all feels so deeply grounded and full of integrity. Your reflections on choice, sovereignty and those in-between places offer much compassion and kindness for the human experience, especially in times of loss and transformation.

Your words on presence resonate deeply with me ... it's a practice close to my heart, especially here in my final year as a therapist. What a gift you, John, your mum and the Team are to this world. 🙏💖

Thank you Deborah, presence, integrity, choice, sovereignty and holding the space for the in-betweens - the grounding that brings compassion. To see the gifts that we all bring - the collaboration. Trust that this last year of practice will leave you with many moments that find their resting place in your heartspace. Thank you 🙏🌀💙

What leapt out at me was not only what Jamie already mentioned, but that it takes "courage to sit with the in-between" ~ for me I want to scream back that it takes PATIENCE, of which, I sometimes fear I have less and less of. I love that you're able to access all this higher wisdom. Such a gift. It's also nice to read back what we've written, to be surprised and to remember, xo

It certainly takes patience Lani, and believe me, l am still learning… so l’ll scream it with you …. PATIENCE. 😂🌀🙏💚

Morning Simone,

Those fires and floods sound frightening, as I've mentioned before when hearing about them here in NZ. I hope that the weather settles for a time, although I know bush fires are a constant threat over there. Volunteer firefighters are such an integral part of our communities. I have so much respect. They are often in action here in Wanaka. It is a shame indeed that John didn't get to fulfil that wish.

A beautiful piece of contemplation and wisdom here Simone.

I have so much respect for doulas and think you would have much to offer if you do decide to help others on their journey.

"She holds open the door for healing. She is present — and she requires presence because that "is how she transmutes pain to gratitude."

"Being comfortable to hold silent space is paramount."

Hope you are enjoying the start to the year Simone. Take Care. xx🙏

Simone Senisin's avatar

Good morning Jo, Yes, it would be terrifying and exhausting — fighting those fires. I imagine it would be similar in Wanaka, that he fires burn for weeks. Thank you Jo, for your kind words and thoughts. I am enjoying the start to the year — had a paddle and caught a wee wave yesterday ... the water sprites kept pushing me off. 🤣. Hope your week is going well too. Lots of love to you Jo, 🙏🌀💖

The water sprites - love it! That must be what happens to me EVERY time.

Love xx🙏🌀💖
