This was lovely in every aspect - the storytelling, the guidance, the photos!, the poem… beautifully fulfilling.
I’m quite drawn to your soul group. What brave women your mom (15 yo) and her mom (1950’s era) needing to bust out. Pop being a vegetarian and refusing a reactive man like his dad - it spoke volumes for the strength of his spirit. Of course he’d be the quiet leader at the garden gate. 🤍
Hi Shaista, thank you for reading and understanding my Pop, Betty Rita and Mum. For some reason it has just dropped in to tell you that when he was 11 he buried a box of coloured pencils in a tin, on a farm they lived on at the time. He always wanted to take me to dig them up, we didn’t make it. If we had he would have sat me down and have me sketch the view.. pop and his peculiarities. He never stated that but that’s what we would have done. 💜They were planted on the top hill of a paddock so he could remember where they were. I am really pleased it is resonating with you 💜🙏🧚. Thank you
"The heaviness of being human." Mmm. SO true!! And Pop sounds like someone I would enjoy sitting and talking with! Thank you for sharing, Simone, this is gorgeous! Trust you are feeling better, my love. XO
Hi Danielle. Yes, Pop loved a chat about all things organic 😄. His woodwork was divine. I am feeling better, thank you 🙏. Thanks for reading 💜. Off to work today so the senior kids will put a smile on my dial. 😄
I love wood! I often go to the hardware store and wander, letting my fingers feel the textures of the wood, smelling the wonderful scents, and noting the beautiful colors of the wood.
Yes, l started woodwork and the old blokes in a Men’s Shed were helping me. Then John got sick so stopped. I love feeling and smelling wood too. I have some Tasmanian wood blocks and a set of knives to try some whittling. I do decorate staffs with etchings and attached string handles, feather and shells. A bit witchy but l use the fallen branches from gum trees. I have given a few away and also made a walking stick . Though that is just playing. I have a chair Pop made mum when she was a child. Classic 1950s danish style chair. She remembers him bending the wood over a barrel of fire and he built the clavichord l mention in the poem. ♥️
I, too, have built "boxes" for carrying baked goods and other goodies for friends and family. The witchier, the better, is my estimation. So lovely!! XO
You are Keeper of the Wisdom. This is so full of Awareness and a Wealth of information that will take me days to wade through, Simone. I'm so new to all of this, but I know expansive Awareness when I read it. I especially loved your poem about your grandfather. What a special man and he could do anything he set his mind to. You are so fortunate to have so many wonderful memories of him and your family. Thank you for sharing your life, your world, here so we can all enjoy a small taste.
Hi C.J, You inspire me 🙏💝. Thank you. My grandfather was quite something — such grace and so very talented. I love him very much 🌼. And you do inspire me. Thank you
thank you for this! it’s breathtaking. i am getting so many synchronicities from this, and many confirmations as well! i spend a lot of time ruminating on my grandfathers and i know they’ve been with me, at least once in a while, for some time….i never met them in this lifetime but i know i’m carrying on ‘chores’ from their life cycles…
i’ve been working on essays about them and it’s just such slow work to get it right.
Hi Rasha, thank you for your comment. I have been wanting to write something about my grandfather and I never imagined it would emerge this way, that is the synchronicity of course. I didn't know Betty Rita in this life, yet I know her. My paternal grandfather I never knew, he did appear in a reading with Moira, to say, I know your soul very well. Fascinating. i look forward to reading about your grandfathers.💜🙏
Pop Tony and Nanny Shirley are sitting with you in the back row of that movie you just saw. Don’t forget to pass the pop corn. Thank you Kristin, you’re a kind heart ♥️
💜 My mother was dressed in white linen nightgown after she died. She took care in her house clothes too. 💜 I am sure Nanny Shirley and my mother are enjoying this 😊❤️🙏🏼

Honored that came through. I lived on top of a hill in a pseudo farmhouse during my core childhood years. 💝
Well there you go … there’s something in that. How fascinating how the Universe works, connections etc 💜🙏🏼

What a wonderful post, and poetic homage to your beloved Pop.
The topic of soul journeys and soul groups is absolutely fascinating. Your firsthand experience is most inspiring. 🧚🏽 🙏🩵
Thank you Veronika; for reading and your comment about my beloved Pop 💜. Yes, the whole soul group reality is fascinating indeed. 🥰
