My daughter loved listening to Depeche Mode, often at a respectable high volume, fun times, I will dial up a listen soon.

I am having a super all nighter reading your enchanting love letter and learning about the beauty of you dear Simone, as I prepare cream of wheat with maple syrup, pecans, blueberries, watching and listening to a lovely spring rain.

Are sure you can’t sing . . .? 🎤 Gracie and Piper sing and we adore their voices. Simone I think you more than likely could sing as good as your Magpies.

I can’t sing but I sing a lot, singing feels so good I get lost and carried away just like dancing. Are you flying 🧚yet

And the blinds moved! I feel it before I see it now.

Love is a burning thing ..And it makes a fiery ring …Bound by wild desire ..I fell into a ring of fire.

What have I become?

My sweetest friend

Everyone I know goes away

In the end…

And here we are. I tried to leave politics in judgement out of my writing. My bias lives. I don’t hide it. Thank you, Australia. Thank you, Canada. There is hope. There is a way.

If I could start again

A million miles away

I would keep myself

I would find a way…

The great cycle goes around. Love is the answer. What was the question?

Everything team John stands for bleeds the truth. Thank you for being a translator. A messenger. Thank you for being. Real. Thank you for being Love Simone.

I’m singing some of my favourite Johnny lyrics here with John in our crazy shirts. Honky-tonk guitar strumming. Beer flowing. The night is still young.

Keep sharing these gifts. We need you Simone. To help us see beyond the eyes.

🙏❤️

Hi Jamie,

Yes, I usually feel it before I see it too — the man is poking you 🤣 🍻 💛

"And the taste of live is sweet

When hearts like ours meet ..."

Did he tell you I have been practicing Ring of Fire on my new banjo tonight .... 🤣 🪕 🎶. That song — speaks for all of us.

"But I remember everything" — what a song, Hurt. Testimony to who June was for him; such great fodder for such great music — their story 🙏. May they be at the Jesus bar tonight with John Prine. 😇

I try to keep politics out of my writing too 🤣, but the values — integrity that underpin my bias is still who I am, in my soul. There is hope and a way — and thank goodness 'we' are not buying into 'it'. Great relief. 🇨🇦 🇦🇺 💪🏻

The boy liked his beer Jamie, so I hope you can keep up the pace. 🍻 🎶 🔥 And he would love the shirt show.

Thanks for filling my cup with laughter, and love, beer and song. You are a sweet soul Jamie. Much gratitude for you 🥰 🙏 🎶 🍻

Mmmm...I am no longer religious, but it seems to me that Jesus' work would be best doled out in a beer serving beers, rather than in a church. Just sayin.

I love your connection to the inner child leading your recovery and utilizing play as a mode of healing. She IS freedom. Children (at young ages, at least) really have very few cares about how they appear to others, they just do what comes naturally - what they want to do, what feels good - it all an expression and new adventures to try. When you're having that much fun, it's pretty hard to judge others, either, as your other drop-in suggested.

Lovely. Let us all play like children. Can Simone come out and play today (said with puppy-dog eyes)? I'm guessing we'd jump in the puddles or turn over rocks in a crick or swim in Mother's waters. Whatever it was, we'd do it with abandon. Thanks for sharing, Sis! XO

Hi Danielle, I have never been religious though I have read about Jesus, and other masters. Outside of religion. My analogy with the bar relates to another lucid meditation I had when I was in the women's circle. I can still see it vividly and may include it in a post.

Yes, I think our inner child is our soul essence. Yes, I will come out and play with you sis — I think we would do all you have suggested with free abandon. Beautiful 🙏 🌊 🌱 🌀 🥰 🍻 Thanks for reading.

Wonderful posting, Simone. Weaving together so many essential threads:

the colliding worlds....

the transformation in the day to day...

the acceptance of self as a precondition for the acceptance of others....

I couldn't agree more.

And an enchanting love letter to John, as Geraldine picked up so gracefully.

Thank you for inviting us into your joyful space with John and the team 🙏 🎶 💕 💐🕯️🪶

Hi Veronika, Thank you 🙏. Colliding worlds and dimension sand the threads that run though lives, such as our personality traits and ancestral patterns. The researcher in this human quite enjoys how the soul gives the message — here's the qualitative training kicking in. I have always loved learning and the discipline of study, so I can understand now my choices — and why I wasn't emotionally equipped, nor 'values' inclined to be able to stick it out in academia. Then I jumped into the frying pan, but that's another story. And John, without judgement, so bloody patient. Though, not without his own wounds and challenges, of course.

On another note, I have printed out your first 10 chapters, so will attentively make my way back through, no doubt my annotations will include questions etc, will it be OK to send them your way now and again?

Thank you for reading and your comments Veronika. Much appreciated.

Oh, and for the sharing. 😊 🙏 🍻 🌱 🎶

Thank you 🙌 😊. Yes, I loved undertaking research and writing. Probably why I have always had an instrument to learn as well 🎶 . My "little" 35 year old cousin who lives interstate is currently working on her PhD, so I get to chat with her about her chapters, abstracts for conferences etc. She too is struggling with the academic culture, though loves the tutoring. ✍️ All of my "advice" to her is about emotional regulation, 'if only' I knew then what I know now — about myself 🤣 ... so do I, I hear John laugh 💙

The vibration of truth is love. Simone I love your open mind and that your not shy to share opinion.

Aww the wounded child and politics that’s layered.

What an amazing career you’ve had.

We are the spark from one light source.

Powerful and our choice to choose love as a way to break egoic patterns.

You’ve outlined deep sacred trauma work guided by soul. Reading this shifted my understanding-acceptance as unification.

I’m curious about “drop ins”

Thank you, I look forward to more conscious crone with an intelligent heart.

Hi Prajna,

I have an open heart now ... it took a while after John died — 5 years later — to take the dive and write on Substack, a year ago.

Yes, acceptance is a collaboration of souls — they have taught me that the release is multidimensional and beyond one aspect, this one life. WOW

The dop-ins are the messages I feel and intuit; as feelings and sometimes in words, phrases and sentences, sometimes visuals and physical phenomena such as the energetic manipulation of physical objects. With each drop in comes the space to pause and feel into listening — how the body responds. The mind provides the language of interpretation and thus defers to the soul's perspective — of the heart. Hope that makes sense 🥰 🙏. It is learn as you go for me — the team drop in as I am ready to receive. 🤣. Sometimes I am a slow learner.

Anyway, I hope you have a great Mother's Day with your gorgeous girls. Much love to you 🥰 💐. Grateful for this connection 🙏

I love your conversations here Simone. A shared intimacy between yourself and John, and us - your readers.

I was a big Depeche Mode fan back in the 80's and Personal Jesus was one of my fav songs.

This is gold for me:

"Self-acceptance creates an energetically protective boundary. Acceptance is the final release of resistance. Taking responsibility for one’s emotional body frees any imposed need for explanation or defence, of self or other. "

Thanks Simone! 💜🙏

Wow! That was an epic listen. So beautiful and wise. Thank you so much, Simone, for sharing your ongoing journey. I resonated with much and loved it when you explored more what John and The Team bring to the table. How a soul evolves here on Earth by reaching those core conditions of acceptance, empathy, non-judgemental, kindness and compassion. Greatly diminishing the ego!

Through my Jungian lens, my favourite, I often pick up my poetry books and dream journals to explore the archetypes on the page and see what’s going on, in say a poem or an essay. What in-fighting or imbalance is presenting itself and if anyone (on the inside!) is taking notice of the Self. It’s all so fascinating. Working with dreams creatively has helped me immeasurably over the years.

How wise and gorgeous John is, for your house, heart, life overflows with song! All the best people are know have a humorous side to them which I adore. One of the greatest human abilities I've always thought, is to be able to laugh at yourself. That's something you do often in your posts and another is how you arrange them with wonderful, precious family photos. Such beautiful memories.

I love the way you honour both the duality of so many things, most especially human experience and the eternal self, and how your insights into transformation naturally unfold in the everyday. Thanks again for sharing your truth with such openness; your path and the guidance you receive and then so willingly share with your readers are shining a light for so many. May it be so. ✨💛✨

Hi Deborah, Thank you. 🙏 😊 The journey just keeps coming out — poke. I really do believe we are here to learn that our individual expressions are OK, there is sameness in the difference, and the difference is part of what we want to experience; physically and emotionally. Fear is our greatest challenge.

I don't know what archetypes I am displaying 🤣 or revealing, or how other frameworks overlap my being. I have only ever looked into my zodiac a bit. Dreams, I don't remember too many, though I think the drop ins I receive might be related to meeting places in the night. It is all fascinating and intriguing. What these reveals show me is that I need to be looking at the soul and human experience as connected, it helps the human understand self — if that makes sense?

John was gorgeous and wise, and didn't offer his advice too often, because I wouldn't have listened 🤪, and because it wasn't in his nature despite the type of work and conflict he had at work. That was part of his human challenge. We both shared a sense of humour, and a capacity to laugh at situations we found ourselves in, even in the darkest moments.

The spirit world has a great sense of humour actually. The end of the post, with Jesus at the bar was from a lucid dream, which I may detail at another time. Thank you for being here Deborah and for sharing. You'll here from me again, in a minute, i need to answer your comment on your post 🤣 🙏 🥰

Simone, your reflections are always so rich and beautifully honest - thank you so much for all the soul whispering you do here. The way you see the connection between the soul and human experience is deeply resonant, and I completely agree - understanding ourselves through that lens brings incredible insight and deep healing.

John’s quiet wisdom shines through your words, and how beautiful it must've been to share such delicious humour, even in those hard moments. I couldn’t agree more about the spirit world having a wicked sense of humour - so often, I find myself laughing at how things unfold.

In fact, synchronicity feels like its own kind of cosmic joke, gently nudging us toward what we need. More than once, I’ve had a book quite literally land at my feet in a bookstore - of course, always the exact one I needed! Ok, ok, I say. I hear you! 😄

I’d love to hear more about your lucid dream whenever you feel called to share. ✨💛

Hi Deborah, I am so very grateful for these connections, thank you 🙏. Yes, our shared humour was definitely one of the 5 key ingredients of our glue 🥰. I love how you call the synchronicities a cosmic joke — brilliant. I had a clump of books fly off the bookshelf once here at home. I was talking on the phone to a friend at the time, she purchased a book charm for her bracelet to represent John's knowledge, after he died. Tragically, her eldest son, only 25 died from road trauma just 2 weeks after John. The books flew from the shelf where I have a photo of Will, and his brothers. That was definitely a moment. There's another story for another time, the amazing synchronicities with that friend.

What book flew out for you? I didn't check the ones that either Will or John ... or both, pushed out. Will also makes his presence known to his mother.

The lucid dream was actually another guided meditation when I was in the women's circle, though they are like a lucid dream. I am sure it will slot in somewhere down the track. There wasn't a lot to it, it was one of the meditations she ran at the beginning or end of sessions. It was vivid. 😊 💛

Wow! The synchronicities you describe feel like such powerful reminders of connection, love and unseen guidance, weaving through even the hardest losses. How beautiful that John and Will continue to make their presence known in such meaningful ways.

That moment with the clump of books sounds just extraordinary! Like a quiet confirmation that love and memory really do transcend time. And your sacred experience with the guided meditation sounds vivid, like a doorway opening to something beyond words.

Oh yes, one of the book that fell off the shelf in Waterstones was Jeanette Winterson's novel "Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit". At thirty, that one was a complete 'game-changer' as my snow globe world world got turned upside down. (And rightly so!)

Thank you so much Simone for holding space for all of this. Sending much love and gratitude as we continue to find light even in unexpected places. ✨😊 💛
